Box Art Group

The Group was formed twenty years ago to encourage people to paint by providing a regular meeting point with a tutor on hand to help and advise. Regular Workshops are provided for members to learn new skills, and Exhibitions are held for them to show off and sell their work. Work in all media is encouraged. 

The Group meets in the Millenium Room of the Selwyn Hall which restricts membership to 20. Meetings are on a Tuesday 14.00 - 16.00 during three Terms of approximately 12 weeks each.

Box Archaeological & Natural History Society (NATS)

The Society was formed in 1969 as a result of interest in the Roman Villa excavations in the vicarage garden before the building of the Selwyn Hall.

Meetings are held monthly during the winter (October – March), in the Methodist Hall, commencing at 7.30pm. They include talks on a wide variety of subjects.

During the summer we arrange outings to places of interest.

The Society aims to foster interest in Archaeology, History and the Natural History of our area.

Boxlea Women's Institute
Boxlea Women’s Institute meets on the 1st Thursday of the month
at the Pavilion, Valens Terrace, Box  at 7.30pm.

We are a friendly group with a varied programme.  In addition to our speakers at the monthly meeting we have a walking  group, a book group, skittles, whist and a scrabble teams, outings and lots more.

Wesley Guild Meetings

From September 20th until mid April 2011, the Wesley Guild meets in the Methodist Church weekly every Monday afternoon from 2.15pm to 3.45pm. A wide and varied group of speakers visit and give a talk, a demonstration, slide show etc to an interested audience of people from many denominations who enjoy fellowship together.
Refreshments conclude each meeting and new members will receive a warm welcome. Do come along and join with us. September’s speaker are :- Sept. 20
