The new DIGITAL TV (Freeview) channels will
not COMMENCE until 24th March.
when 8** digital channels will be switched on.
Analogue
BBC2
will be switched OFF.
The other analogue signals/channels ITV1, BBC1 and Ch4
will remain on until >>>>
>>>> the 7th April when BBC1,
ITV1 and CH4 analogue channels
will
be switched OFF. Then a further
10 digital channels will be added
- making 18** in all. All transmitters in
the WEST that cover BOX
will be converted on the same
dates.

There are
TWO vacancies on the Parish Council Both will be
filled by 'co-option' (click below for details) Are
you interested in joining the
Parish Council? Do you have a little spare time to
contribute to the Community you live in? If you think
you can, pop in to the Parish office (mornings - Monday
to Thursday) and speak to Margaret Carey the clerk who will be
pleased to see you and tell you all about it. (or have a
word with any of the Councillors - see menu on the
left)
The
Council will make its decision on the 25th March

We hope through the
various pages to tell you what is going on in the parish and
give you some idea of the facilities here. It is
frequently updated, so visit us again.
The Parish
of Box in the county of Wiltshire covers an area of over 7
square miles and embraces several smaller communities
including Ashley, Ditteridge, Kingsdown, Rudloe and
Wadswick. It is located about 5 miles east of Bath
& 6 miles west of Chippenham. The A4 road from
London to Bath & Bristol passes right through the
village.
Much of Box
Village and the surrounding
area is a Conservation Area
and it falls within the Cotswolds
Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty & West Wiltshire Green
Belt. |
