TRANSPORT in the PARISH of BOX

The nearest railway stations to Box are at Bath and Chippenham,
Both are 5 miles from Box and served by the 231& 231 bus (see below)

For the "First Great Western"  timetable for route Bath Spa/Chippenham to & from Paddington

   However, there is a regular bus service through the parish ~
'FIRST GROUP' routes 231 & 232 which connects Bath to Chippenham.

 'Fosseway' Bus Co. offer similar services, (also called route 231 !! )
and they can be reached on (01249) 44 44 44
(no web site available - see timetable on local bus stops)

 For those travelling further, 'National Express'  run a coach (route 403) which travels through BOX  to & from London (Victoria) and Bath.  About every 2/3 hours.

The Council is often sent bus timetables for the area and these are distributed to the Hawthorn Post Office.   A copy is retained at the Council offices.
