Summer’s flying by, and September will be here all to quickly! We’ve continued to meet, with sport, games, activities, pool, computers, food (sometimes even healthy food!) and chilling out. We’re expecting to see more new members join us as they start year 7 in the autumn.

One of the strengths of Green Room has been the team of helpers who support the club and help it to happen. We have been blessed with lots of enthusiastic and talented people over the last few years. Speaking personally, I’ve been so pleased with how Green Room has grown and developed in the last few years, how so many kids have benefited from it, and how lots of great people have stepped forward to help out in lots of different ways. It’s something very special and positive at the heart of the village.

However, we cannot take this for granted. Over the summer a couple of people have had to step back from helping on a regular basis. We’d like to pay a special tribute to Vicky, our co-ordinator, who has given such a lot of her time, talents and energy to taking the club forward into its new premises. Vicky, we’re so grateful for all you’ve done and you will be sadly missed! Phil will also be stepping back for a while to concentrate on his studies.

We would love some new people to help out - as much or as little time as you can spare, it will be hugely appreciated! Whether you could offer to be at the pavilion on one Wednesday evening a month, or do something more ‘behind the scenes’, we’d love to hear from you. Do email or phone Phil Daniels on 01225743721 / philandrhoda@yahoo.co.uk if you’d like to know more.

Who - What - Where

The  Green Room meets in the new Pavilion next to the tennis courts, every Wednesday evening       from 7-10pm. The cost is £2.00 entry each night and £5 yearly membership.

The Green Room is a place to ‘chill out’ and/or to take part in organized activities including sports, arts and music – and anything else you can think of! If you would like to come along then please email or ring us and we will send you membership and parental consent forms – which are simple to fill in but essential! All adult helpers will be police checked before helping at the club on the youth club evenings.

Green Room Dance sessions are on Mondays in the Millennium Room at the Selwyn Hall from 7:30-8:30pm and cost £2 per session for members (which entitles you to 50% off admission to the Green Room session on the Wednesday.
